Wholesale Beauty Supplies Review

Beauty supplies are also often referred to as cosmetics. There are tons of different types of cosmetics that are created for many different purposes and are specifically formulated for specific skin types and hair types. Beauty products are intended to enhance the appearance or smell of the body in one way or another.

Some beauty supplies include skin care creams, lotions, powder, perfumes, lipsticks, fingernail and toe nail polish, eye and facial makeup, towelettes, chemical treatments, colored contact lenses, hair dyes, hair products, deodorants, hand sanitizer, baby products, bath products, among several other things. The word cosmetics is actually derived from the Greek word which mean "technique of dress and ornament", "skilled in ordering or arranging", "order", and "ornament".

Some beauty products are also know as makeup which mainly focus on altering your appearance, particularly on your face. Some companies divide cosmetic beauty supplies into two categories known as decorative cosmetics and care cosmetics. Wholesale beauty supplies also encompass supplies or tools that are used to apply or enhance cosmetics or to achieve certain looks.

Some of these tools include makeup brushes, cosmetic applicators, q-tips, blow dryers, straightening irons, curling irons, rollers, makeup cases, hair extensions, hair clippers, hair trimmers, waxes, or scissors for cutting hair. Large manufacturers of beauty supplies which were created in the 20th century primarily dominate the beauty industry, but today many small, independent companies can find success in selling beauty supplies.

The FDA largely regulates beauty supplies which are used for cosmetic purposes. Cosmetics can be anything that is used on the body for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance without changing the body's structure or functions.

Beauty supplies date all the way back to Egyptian times. Nefertiti used to apply dark eye liner to enhance her beauty. Beauty supplies were also used by Ancient Greeks and Romans. Back during these times many cosmetics contained mercury and lead which can be extremely harmful. Beauty supplies have since been refined and been made in a much safer manner.

Cosmetics are beauty supplies that generate a huge amount of revenue in the beauty industry. Nearly $19 billion dollars are spent worldwide on a yearly basis on cosmetics alone. L'Oreal is currently the largest manufacturer of cosmetics. Elizabeth Arden, Helena Rubinstein, Max Factor, Revlon, and Estee Lauder are some of the other huge cosmetic companies that helped lead the way for the cosmetic industry.

Hair products are also exceptionally popular and have been used for many years. Philip B., Wella, Oster, and a number of other hair companies helped expand the hair industry and continue to develop products to this day.

There are such a huge variety of wholesale beauty supplies on the market and they generate an outrageous amount of revenue. They are available in grocery stores, beauty supply stores, salons and online. New products come out all the time and more advanced formulas are created on a regular basis. Makeup, anti-aging products, hair products and other beauty supplies continue to offer new solutions to simple beauty ailments.
