Hot Tools Ionic Hair Dryer Review

The elite Hot Tools brand features ionic, tourmaline, ceramic, titanium, travel, hard hat, and hooded hair dryers. Almost all of the blow dryers made by Hot Tools comes with ionic technology. You ask what is Ionic Technology? Well, a hair dryer with ionic technology emits millions of negatively or positively charged particles, called ions. The ionic dryer differs from the conventional dryer because it uses ions to break down moisture molecules with very little heat rather than coils to heat the air. When you use ions, heat is drastically reduced which provides for frizz free, shiny results without the risks of heat damage. Also, the Ionic dryer will dry your hair in half the time! Another added benefit of using the Hot Tools ionic hair dyer is that you get these aforementioned results without the need for thermal creams or shinning sprays.

Hot Tools produces many different ionic hair dryer models that come in all price ranges and specifications. Their middle of the road models range from $25.99 - $39.99 and consist of travel, styler and full sized hair dryers. They also make high end professional dryers that run from $41.00 - $64.99 and feature materials such as tourmaline, ceramic, and titanium. Below are some of Hot Tools most popular hair dryer models:
  • Hot Tools Ionic Anti-Static 1875 Watt Travel Hair Dryer:  This is the perfect dryer for a women on the go! It's dual voltage for worldwide use and a convenient folding handle makes it easy to store in a suitcase, small drawer, or bag. All this, plus the power of a full sized blow dryer and gentle direct ion technology.
  • Hot Tools Ionic Anti-Static 1875 Watt Salon Hair Dryer: This bonnet dryer offers convenient, hands-free operation for the most relaxing way to dry your hair! It's innovative ion technology maximizes ionic activity, locking in moisture, by smoothing the hairs cuticle, resulting in smooth, silky strands free of the slightest amount of static frizz. The extra-large, bonnet accommodates all roller sizes, and the convenient touch n tilt control enables comfortable drying from all angles.
  • Hot Tools Ionic Anti-Static 1875 Watt Professional Hair Dryer with Diffuser: This dryer will effectively deceases drying time, improves hairs moisture levels, and creates smooth, shiny, frizz-free results. The patented ion technology, injects a high amount of negative ions into the airflow, which breaks apart water droplets that evaporate quicker and are absorbed by the hair.
The majority of Hot Tools blow dryers come with some or all the available attachments such as a hair pik, concentrator, or hair diffuser. When using your Hot Tools dryer, here is a technique to help achieve smooth hair with tons of volume. When blow drying your hair, divide all of your hair into manageable sections about 2 to 4 inches thick. You will want to focus on each section individual and clip the others out of the way. This allows you to be a bit more organized while using a brush and blow dryer. I recommend using a round brush because your hair conforms to the brushes shape which will give you a smooth style with volume and bounce. I also suggest you use a 1/2 inch to 1 -1/2 inch brush for short hair and a 2 inch to 3-1/2 inch brush for long hair. To reduce frizz concentrate the dryer downward on the hair shaft and brush from beneath the hair while  pulling down and out. You will then dry and brush each section and finish by brushing all sections together. If you have never used a Hot Tools hair dryer, just try it out and I guarantee you will never go back to another brand!
